Maybe it’s because I’m an old school catholic school girl but I’ve always had a love affair with plaid skirts. Then Gossip Girl solidified my obsession with their bright tights under dark plaid. Now that is officially dipping into the 40’s/50’s, I can start to resurface my wool skirts from the back of my closet and show them the light of these chilly days. My friend Brianna of, @creativelycrinite, asked if we could do a photo shoot and of course I said YES. A wool plaid skirt, tucked in button up, and winged eyes created this look and the wind added in the tousled Bardot tangles. If you’re in the Vegas area and need some photos, check out Brianna’s work! Meanwhile we’ll be scheming up our next shoot!
Happy May Day! May Day makes me think of braids and braids have always been a beautiful mystery to me. I love love love any type of braided look but I can never seem to figure out how to achieve it! My friend Ashley (who is an amazing hair stylist/makeup artist) created this beautiful milkmaid braid look. It was perfect timing for an event I could attend last minute. Picnic by Design, with the theme parasols in the park. My outfit had to be adjusted last minute due to the rain and sudden drop in temperature. But a little rain wasn’t going to stop our party!
Happy Easter lovlies! With Easter comes Spring and with Spring comes buckets of fresh flowers, perfectly red strawberries, and all things new. For those who know me, brunch is my favorite meal of the day and Easter requires a massive brunch! I grabbed my white jersey skirt with just the right amount of swing and a blue silk watercolored blouse this Easter Sunday. I don’t know about you but I am very excited to break out my white dresses and linen pants! Hello Spring!
