It’s ball season! When dressing for a black tie event, my advice is to be original and pick a statement. Be it… a unique high heel that’s more like art, a jewel studded collar, or just a bright color that is perfectly you. Know what works on you! For me, that’s red. Red is always a go to color for me since it makes my blonde pop and compliments my pale skin. Black tie doesn’t always mean simple black dress. Be bold this year and read on for more of my glam advice!
When I look for holiday gifts, I always seem to end up at the Bobbi Brown counter. Everyone knows my obsession with this company so a lip gloss or eye palette always ends up in my stocking. What I love so much about them is their emphasis on the natural beauty. Playing up your features with complimentary palettes will always result in a chic, “oh this is just me everyday” look. I get excited every year to see their gift and limited edition sets. They make for perfect presents! Just try not to get sad when you run out of your favorite limited edition color! *me every year*
Happy May Day! May Day makes me think of braids and braids have always been a beautiful mystery to me. I love love love any type of braided look but I can never seem to figure out how to achieve it! My friend Ashley (who is an amazing hair stylist/makeup artist) created this beautiful milkmaid braid look. It was perfect timing for an event I could attend last minute. Picnic by Design, with the theme parasols in the park. My outfit had to be adjusted last minute due to the rain and sudden drop in temperature. But a little rain wasn’t going to stop our party!
