Every December I just can’t understand how we make it though those last 4 weeks leading up to finals. As science majors, the work load is intense! We have quite a few stories we want to share with you all since school is now out! To kick it off, we are sharing our quick trip (and by quick I mean a 36 hour trip) to Sedona and Prescott! While this trip was mostly all business, we stopped at some fun places! We didn’t realize how quaint and gorgeous Sedona is! The red rocks (rivaling our own here at home) look like they’re out of the Cars movie, the lack of light whatsoever (including stop lights) makes for a night sky studded with twinkling stars, and the natural feel of everything takes you out of the city and into a serene locale. See some of our pictures, favorite stops, and places to stay!
Hi there! Hope you all have been enjoying your summer! One of mine and Sarah’s favorite summer activities is simply reading. We love books! Whenever we visit a new city we like to find the most random charming bookstores and search the shelves for our next read. We’ve been so busy with school and work lately that we haven’t really found the time to read books we actually want to read (or write any new blog posts!) Well we are back and with an amazing giveaway! A $100 Barnes & Noble gift card! Read more to see the details on how to enter.

This week we went up to Tahoe for the Reno Tahoe open golf tournament. When we come up, the weather always seems to be perfect and everyone’s moods are in high spirits for the holiday weekend. When packing, I bring an assortment of those classic J. Crew shorts in bright colors, plenty of hats, and a selection of cool dresses. This little floral dress is so comfortable, easy to wear in the heat, and can easily be dressed up or down. For instance, I wore this around the tournament, to a dinner party, then running around the course to the music from the party tent up the hill. Summer is good, isn’t it?
Hello Lovlies! Hope your week has been full of Fourth of July prepping!! For those who don’t know, I work as an interior design assistant and resource library curator at a hospitality design firm. One thing I put together every other week is a mood board for our library newsletter. I think it’s a fantastic idea to start sharing them with all of you! Not only the mood boards, but the behind the scenes working of a design library and the design world! I’ll be sharing this behind the scenes action on our NEW snapchat! See all of the pretty things that make their way across my table, how I select what is in and what is out, and keep up on the latest design trends! Follow along @elizandlee, you won’t want to miss these adventures!♥ xoxo
Denim and leather evoke the boyish chic look of dark skinnies and a leather jacket. But the combo of denim and leather doesn’t always have to be so edgy. In the heat of summer when jeans, let alone a leather jacket, are tough to stay in all day, dresses become a go to outfit for me! But sometimes we still want a little edge to our look. I have paired this surprisingly light and flowy denim dress with a bulky leather belt to bring in that timeless classic pairing of denim and leather.
